Before modification, the controller uses a 3.58 MHz ceramic resonator
(Mouser part # 520-ZTT358MG). It has three pins and is an orange-brown
color. It is located right near the hole in the center of the PCB.
The center pin of the resonator goes to ground.

The modification replaces the resonator with a crystal and two
capacitors. The crystal is 3.579545 MHz (Mouser part #
815-ABL-3.579545B2) and the capacitors (soldered to the back side of
the PCB) are 22pF (Mouser part # 581-SR151A220J).
