This is always a fun contest. George K5TR mostly lost his voice after about two hours into the contest. George turned up the mic gain and pressed on, even though it was hard, since he could barely talk. George even had to explain to a couple of friends that no, it was not the radio failing, that was really what his voice sounded like!
When George worked KK5MI, he invited him to come operate the rest of the contest with us. At about 0300 UTC, KK5MI showed up and put in about an hour and a half on 20 meters, so George could rest his voice a bit for the last rush of the contest.
