SOAPBOX: Thanks to George for letting me operate the contest from his station.
SOAPBOX: I spent the day prior to the contest working on a tower project 
SOAPBOX: at N5XU in downtown Austin.  I was pretty wiped out when I sat 
SOAPBOX: down to the contest and had some trouble focusing.  There was no
SOAPBOX: propagation for the first hour of the contest, though, and I was
SOAPBOX: only able to work a handful of local stations.  We had Eskip into
SOAPBOX: Colorado for an hour or so, starting around 0130 UTC, but I never
SOAPBOX: heard more than two stations out there.  N0KE sounded like he was 
SOAPBOX: running a lot of Texans, but I could never get a run of Coloradans
SOAPBOX: to match.  I couldn't work any stations in the final hour of 
SOAPBOX: the contest.
